Ah yes, it is winter and we all hibernate and given that I haven't been on here or around much thought it would be time for a small update to teh offroad division of SCRAD.
Well, first things first, I am bikeless at the moment after deciding that 2700kms in 3+ years was not enough to justify keeping the bike in the garage given that I had a lot of things happening. So it was advertised in another forum and within 18 minutes (yes, 18 minutes) I had an inquiry and the bike was sold some 2 hours later. Gotta love bike forums for that.
Now while it was not done for any job reason, it also just so happens that I have scored a permanent position that, like Steve means a small relocation. So, sometime in the next month or so I will be packing up and heading north west to Dubbo to settle down and see what happens in the future.
Once there I will decide what type of bike to get as I have no idea of the riding in the region and so will take time to work through the best option before handing over some money.
So have fun all and if heading that way feel free to drop a line.

What dont they have internets at Dubbo?
Look forward to seeing some ride reports from out that way when you get your act together.
Oh and rumor has it that the rangers out that way keep an eye out for people wearing out the tracks by going riding in the same forest every time, you have been warned.

Dubbo hey Gaz, i worked there for 8 years back in the 70s its where i 1st learnt to ride a bike and had lotsa fun in the forests out around that way. Can get bloody hot in the summer and on a recent trip last year it sure has grown. Bit of a tip try and steer clear of the West side of town to live Enjoy it mate, The Dubbo dirt bike club still have their own dirt track out on the Zoo rd. Watcha doing up there. Try and catch up next time im out that way.

John, thanks for the tip regarding the western side, or as we are calling it 'the bronx' ;D To be fair though, the real estate agents had warned us and we went for a quick drive through there the other day, and well, that settled it but at the same time the locals do say near the golf club on that side is ok, but we kinda like the eastern side and maybe Wongarbon/Geurie. Will depend on how it all feels when we get there and settle in but I do like the idea of a half acre block. I did forget to mention that this is also quite close and something I have wanted to do for years
